Stow Cards Wallet passes

How it works

Four steps to a live wallet pass

No dedicated loyalty app to build or submit for review. Design once, share a QR code, and reward customers in real time.

Step 01

Design your pass

Pick a pass category and a template, then set your brand, fields, barcode, and notifications. The live preview shows the pass in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet as you type.

  1. Pass category
  2. Brand
  3. Fields
  4. Barcode
  5. Notify
  6. Publish
Preview the pass in
Step 02

Publish and share the QR code

Publishing creates a hosted enrollment page with its own QR code. Print it at the counter, add it to receipts, or send the link in a newsletter. No developer needed.

  • Branded enrollment page in your colors
  • Add more named pages, each with its own QR code
  • Opens in any phone browser
Step 03

Customers add it to their wallet

Customers scan, fill a short form, and tap once. iPhones get an Apple Wallet pass and Android phones get a Google Wallet pass, with the same branding on both.

  • The form previews your pass, filling in their name where the pass shows one
  • No dedicated loyalty app or Stow Cards customer account required
  • Signups are matched by email, so nobody enrolls twice
  • Each member gets a short, scannable Member ID
Step 04

Reward and update live

Add points at the till with the scanner app or from the console. The pass updates on every registered device in real time, with a message on the lock screen.

  • Scan the pass barcode to pull up the member
  • One tap to add points, stamps, or a reward
  • The new balance is on the pass before they leave

Behind the scenes

What happens when you press the button

The parts you do not see, explained honestly.

Rebuilt and pushed

Every adjustment rebuilds the pass. Apple devices get an APNs push and fetch the new version; Google Wallet passes update through the Google Wallet API.

Idempotent adjustments

Point changes carry an Idempotency-Key, so a retried request applies exactly once. Every adjustment is audited: who, when, and how much.

Demo mode before certificates

Until your Apple and Google wallet credentials are configured, the platform runs in stub mode: the whole flow works end to end and updates are logged as skipped instead of failing silently.

Prefer to connect your own systems? The REST API makes the same adjustments, and signed webhooks report new members, points changes, redemptions, scans and pass installs as they happen. See integrations

Questions

Before you set it up

Every program gets a hosted enrollment page with a QR code. Customers scan it, fill a short form, and add the pass to their wallet in one tap. Print the code on a poster, a table tent, or a receipt.

No. There is no customer app to install: passes go straight into Apple Wallet on supported iPhones or Google Wallet on supported Android devices.

Yes. One design serves both platforms. iPhones get an Apple Wallet pass and Android phones get a Google Wallet pass, with the same branding and the same live updates.

Yes. On iPhone, a changed balance can show a message on the lock screen. On Android, the Google Wallet pass updates in place. Customers never have to open anything.
